- Peter Duke
- Sales & Marketing Manager
RTS Europe
Peter Duke
peterduke@rts-europe.co.uk
Before joining RTS, Peter had already had a varied career as army officer, aviation and ship broker and sales manager for an Aberdeen-based technical services and equipment company. In 1987 he set up his own sales agency and shortly after Peter McDermott appointed him as the local RTS agent for the fast growing offshore oil industry and the fast growing helicopter support business.
Though success was achieved in the helicopter engine cleaning field it soon became clear that the real growth area for this business lay in the market for the larger industrial gas turbines both off-shore and on-shore and thus the work done in Aberdeen paved the way for the success of RTS on a world wide basis for the next 25 years. Peter is still based in the Aberdeen area but also looks after customers elsewhere in the UK and near continent with his famously entertaining sales and marketing talents and his natural engineering aptitude and abilities-the latter no doubt handed down from his dad, an engineer who was the post-war General Officer Commanding of the British Army Engineering Corps. Peter's sport and hobby is sailing and he has served as a watch officer on the training ship Winston Churchill and crewed yachts all over the world.
